JAMMU, Mar 14: Five talented gymnasts from Jammu and Kashmir have been selected to represent India in the upcoming World Cup, European Championships and Asian Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics.During the two-day selection trials held at the Gymnastics Academy at M A Stadium, Jammu, J&K’s star gymnasts Muskan Rana, Manya and Vaibhavi Sharma were selected in the Senior category, while Advita Choudhary and Triza Balal secured spots in the Junior category.
The trials saw elite gymnasts from across India compete, with their performances judged by a panel of national and international qualified judges. The selection process was overseen by Ashok Sahoo, Chairman of the Selection Committee, and included experts like Varsha Upadhyay, Krupali Singh, Jasbir Kour and Neetu Bala.
Ashok Kumar Sahoo praised the J&K Gymnastics Association for organizing the trials professionally, providing state-of-the-art facilities. vice president Gymnastics Federation of India Kiran Wattal thanked the J&K Administration headed by LG Manoj Sinha for providing the high class facilities in J&K due to which our J&K Gymnasts are excelling at National & International arena.
