DC Budgam Flags Off Boys’ Trekking Camp to Pahalgam

As part of the government’s continued efforts to promote the tourism sector through various adventure sports, including trekking, the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, today flagged off a trekking camp for boys of all age groups to the renowned tourist destination of Pahalgam.

A flag-off ceremony was held at the premises of the DC Office Budgam, where the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the participating students and encouraged them to actively take part in such adventure-based activities. He emphasized the importance of trekking in promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence among youth. He wished the students a safe, healthy, and memorable experience during the camp.

The trekking camp has been organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Budgam and will continue from December 17 to December 22.

On the occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Budgam, Ghulam Hassan Lone, along with other concerned officers and officials of the department, were also present.

It is noteworthy that the initiative aims to encourage adventure sports, promote a healthy lifestyle, and provide young people an opportunity to witness the natural beauty of Jammu and Kashmir.
