Roadside IED Found in Tappar Pattan, Security Forces Seal Area

Baramulla, Jan 20: An improvised explosive device (IED) was detected along a roadside in the Tappar Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, officials said.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the device was noticed during routine area domination and movement checks by security forces. Soon after the detection, a Bomb Disposal Squad was rushed to the spot to neutralise the threat.

As a precautionary measure, the area was immediately cordoned off to prevent any harm to civilians, while security forces intensified searches and sanitisation operations in the surrounding areas.
