Srinagar, Nov 30: Indian Army successfully conducted Territorial Army (TA) recruitment drive across the valley in this month.
Srinagar based defence spokesman said the event witnessed unprecedented participation that provided the opportunity and engagement to the aspiring candidates across the region, who dream of serving the Nation.
He said the drive was held in Kupwara, Baramulla & Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre from November 8 to 27.
The spokesman said this is the first time post COVID -19 pandemic, when a TA recruitment rally at such a large scale was conducted.
“High point of the rally was the enthusiasm amongst the youth to join the TA and be the harbinger of peace & development in the region. The rally also witnessed episodes of humanity, brotherhood, community service and zeal from the relatives of the aspirants, motivating them and running alongside at the rally ground. The key facets of this event were record participation, fair selection process, safety of aspirants & community involvement,” the spokesman said.
A senior Army Official said they were immensely proud of the remarkable turnout and the exceptional talent displayed by our candidates.
“This recruitment drive has been a testament to the dedication and passion of our youth towards Nation Building. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event,” he said.
Those who have qualified the physical tests in this recruitment rally will be put through other tests including medical, written and an aptitude test after which the final merit will be decided. The massive and overwhelming response in the rally indicates the positive winds of change and transition of ideology towards Nation Building.
The event offered employment opportunity to the deserving youth and also created a sense of belongingness and inspiring the youth to join the noble profession to ensure peace, stability and development in Kashmir Valley, the spokesman said.
