External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to Visit the UAE

New Delhi, April 8: In a significant development, India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is set to visit the United Arab Emirates amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The visit, confirmed in recent days, is expected to address key issues related to bilateral relations between India and the UAE.

According to reports, Dr. Jaishankar will travel to the UAE on April 11 and 12, where he will meet his Emirati counterpart and other senior officials. The visit comes at a sensitive time, as the region continues to witness instability, particularly in the context of ongoing conflicts in neighboring countries.

A major focus of the visit will be ensuring the safety and welfare of the large Indian diaspora residing in the UAE, which is home to over one million Indian nationals. The Government of India remains committed to protecting the interests of its citizens abroad, and the visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the two nations on issues such as security, trade, and consular support.

Furthermore, with the recent ceasefire developments in West Asia, Dr. Jaishankar’s visit is also expected to serve as a platform for discussions on regional peace and stability. The UAE, as a key partner in the Gulf region, plays an important role in India’s foreign policy.

As Dr. Jaishankar prepares for his engagements with UAE officials, the diplomatic interactions are expected to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors, ensuring mutual growth and security for both nations.
