Srinagar, Jan 8 : Four houses were damaged in a fire incident in Srinagar’s Hzaratbal area on Wednesday, officials said.

The fire erupted in a residential area on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials from the Fire and Emergency Services, the blaze started around 11:50 AM in one of the houses and quickly spread to adjacent homes, engulfing a total of four residential properties.

They said several fire tenders were rushed to the spot from various stations in the city to douse the leaping flames.

“ Out of the four houses, two were completely damaged,” they said.

No one was injured in the incident, the officials said adding the cause of fire is being ascertained.
