Panchkula, December 24:Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that the government will soon launch the ‘Bharat Taxi’ service, under which profits will be shared with drivers.
Addressing a Sahkari Sammelan in Panchkula, Shah said the initiative aims to increase drivers’ earnings while improving convenience for consumers. “Through the initiative of the Ministry of Cooperation, we will soon launch ‘Bharat Taxi’, in which every share will go to our driver brothers. This will enhance consumer convenience and also increase drivers’ profits,” he said.
Highlighting Haryana’s contribution to the nation, Shah said the state has played a key role in ensuring food security, boosting dairy production, and achieving excellence in sports. He noted that Haryana has consistently contributed to the country’s food security and sporting successes, adding that the state’s farmers have made the nation proud on multiple fronts.
“Haryana has always contributed to the country’s food security and milk production and has brought a shower of medals for the nation in sports. On every front, Haryana’s farmers have proudly hoisted the Tricolour for India,” Shah said.
He also praised both Haryana and Punjab for making India self-reliant in food grain production and earning global recognition. Highlighting Haryana’s role in national security, Shah said that despite being a small state, it contributes the highest per capita number of soldiers to the Central Armed Police Forces and all three armed forces.
