Beirut, Sep 30 : Lebanese movement Hezbollah is ready for an Israeli ground operation in Lebanon and will continue supporting Gaza, Naim Qassem, the deputy head of the movement, said on Monday.
Together with leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah, commander of the movement’s southern front Ali Karaki, senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Abbas Nilforoushan and soldiers from Nasrallah’s guard died in Israel’s strike, the deputy head said.
“If Israel decides to conduct a ground operation, the resistance forces will be ready for a ground invasion. We have prepared ourselves and with God’s help we are confident that the Israeli enemy will not achieve its goals and we will win this battle,” Qassem said in his address, adding that the movement will continue supporting Gaza.
Hezbollah will continue pursuing its goals after the leader’s death, Qassem said, adding that the movement’s leadership continues to operate.
