Jammu, Jan 27 : Jammu Police have arrested one hardcore criminal with contraband of heroin and pistol in Bishnah area here in the city outskirts.

Police said that acting on specific inputs, a police team conducted a raid and arrested the criminal with 25 gm of heroin and a 9 mm pistol.

Arrested criminal was identified as Pankaj Singh alias Panku Raja, resident of Kotli Mian Fateh, Miran Sahib, against whom 12 FIRs are registered.

The accused, also a history-sheeter of PS Miran Sahib, had recently come out after completing his detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

A case has been registered at Police Station Bishnah under relevant sections of law and further investigation is underway to trace the network behind the recovered narcotics and illegal weapon.
