Itanagar, Aug 13 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed happiness over ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ in Seppa, of East Kameng in Arunachal Pradesh.
He remarked that patriotism was clearly reflected in the vibrant cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.
Commenting on a video post on social media platform X by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Modi wrote: “Arunachal Pradesh is a land where patriotism is deeply rooted in the heart of every citizen. This clearly reflects in the state’s vibrant cultural heritage. Glad to see such enthusiasm towards #HarGharTiranga.”
In the run-up to the 78th Independence Day celebration, a mammoth ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ public rally with 600-feet Tiranga was today taken out at Seppa, the headquarters of East Kameng district, celebrating the spirit of freedom, patriotism & nationalism.
Posting the 54-second video clip of the event on X, Khandu wrote: “Hamari Shaan Tiranga (Our Pride Tricolour)” stating that a grand 600 ft Tiranga Yatra was held in Seppa, East Kameng, under the Har Ghar Tiranga Program.
State Home Minister Mama Natung along with MLAs Ealing Tallang and Hayeng Mangfi, East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sachin Rana, SP Kamdam Sikom, officials from district administration, school children and other stakeholders took part in the Tiranga Yatra.
As the massive tricolour was carried through the township streets, the participants including students chanted “Vande Mataram”, a patriotic cry that reverberated in the skies, reflecting the spirit of unity and national pride.
In addition to the Tiranga rally, the participants also took part in a cleanliness drive at the Seppa general ground, aligning with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
