Jammu, Jan 3 :An employee of Jammu and Kashmir’s Power Development Department on Friday fired at the son of a BJP leader after a heated exchange of words over an issue here in Sarwal area.

Police said that Kannav Sharma, son of BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma, suffered minor injuries when he was fired at by one Ravinder Singh, an employee of PDD.

“As per reports, parking issue led to exchange of heated words between them,” said police adding that the accused is on the run while the victim has been hospitalised.

The victim is also an advocate and district president of the BJP.

“We have registered a case and the matter is being investigated while special teams have launched a manhunt to trace the accused,” said police.
