Srinagar, Sep 16 : Stepping up the attack on the Awami Itihad Party (AIP) of Engineer Rashid and banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JEI) for forming an alliance, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Monday alleged that this is the strategy to loot and divide.
“This is the strategy to loot, divide, and sell the dignity of mothers and sisters,” Farooq said this while replying to a question on the alliance formed by the AIP and JEI, on the last day of campaign for the first phase of voting on 24 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly seats on September 18.
The banned Jamaat-e-Islami, which has fielded several members as independent candidates, and Baramulla Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid’s AIP on Sunday stitched a strategic alliance for the Assembly elections
In reply to another question, the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said that “We are all ready to sacrifice for the restoration of Article 370.”
He said, “Almighty willing; we will fight for it, not with the swords or guns but will again approach the Supreme Court and will keep on going until it happens.”
Some Supreme Court judges ruled in our favour in which it was mentioned that the Article 370 is a permanent one, the NC leader said.
