Srinagar, Jan 25 : The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday lauded the officers and personnel of Jammu & Kashmir Police and Correctional Services on being awarded Gallantry and Service Medals on the occasion of Republic Day 2026.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, LG Sinha said, “Heartfelt congratulations to the brave officers & personnel of @JmuKmrPolice who have been awarded the Medal for Gallantry, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, and the Medal for Meritorious Service on this Republic Day.”

Acknowledging the role of J&K Correctional Service personnel, he added, “I also congratulate J&K Correctional Service personnel honoured with the Medal for Meritorious Service. The nation deeply admires @JmuKmrPolice’s courage and dedication. May your bravery and commitment continue to be a source of pride for the country.” (JKNS)
