Jammu, Sep 19: Lashing out at the National Conference and the Congress party alliance for the ongoing Assembly Election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that these parties want to implement the agenda of Pakistan by restoring Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir but we will never allow it to happen.

Pakistan Defence Minister Khwaja Asif has said that Pakistan and the alliance (NC-Congress) were on the same page when it came to the restoration of Article 370 in the Union Territory.

“Pakistan is very excited over alliance between the NC-Congress and the Pakistan Defence Minister has openly welcomed their agenda of restoring Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir,” PM Modi said addressing a public rally in Katra town of Reasi district in support of the BJP candidates ahead of second phase of Assembly elections scheduled to be held on September 25.

“NC-Congress wants to implement the Pakistan agenda by bringing back Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir but, Modi wants to make it clear to these political parties that we will never allow them to fulfil Pakistan’s agenda,” said the Prime Minister.

He said, “no force in the world can bring back the Article 370 to J&K,” adding, he said, “under the shade “mohabbat ki dukan”, Congress is selling “nafrat ka samaan” and this party always discriminated with the Jammu region.”

Modi also termed Congress family as one of the most corrupt in the country.

Asserting that the NC, PDP and Congress gave step-motherly treatment to the Reasi and Udhampur districts in years, PM Modi said that this election will decide the future of Jammu and Kashmir.

“From the day Article 370 has been abrogated, J&K is becoming terror free and is marching towards development and entering into the new era of progress,” the Prime Minister stated.

He said, “I promise that we will restore Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as we have already promised in the Parliament.”
