Jammu, Sept 10 : Uunion Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today said the national highway blockade could possibly be cleared today while the airdropping of essentials has also been accomplished early morning in the remote belt of Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Right now, the weather is clear, NHAI authorities are on the job and it is strongly hoped that today it will be possible to clear the National Highway blockade at Thard and Balli Nallah,” Dr Singh posted on X.
He further posted, “Meanwhile, airdropping of essentials at Lalli in Moungri area, could not be undertaken as required yesterday due to unfavourable weather, but it has been accomplished today in the early morning hours.”
At the same time, Dr Singh added, “there was a request this morning from local representatives of Latti, including Kasturi Lal, for essential supplies which got disrupted because of the road getting washed away due to a massive landslide at Bupp last night.”
“Restoration work has started and the requirement of essentials will also be accordingly dealt with,” he said in a post.
