Dr Jitendra Singh reaches Srinagar to accompany BJP Rajya Sabha Candidates for filing nomination papers

Srinagar, Oct 13 : Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh arrived in Srinagar on Monday morning to accompany the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates as they are filing their nomination papers for the three Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir.

The BJP has fielded Sat Sharma (CA), Rakesh Mahajan, and Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir as its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

The trio is filing their nomination papers at the Civil Secretariat (J&K Assembly) in Srinagar.

“This election is an important milestone for the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. The party is determined to strengthen its representation and ensure that the voice of every section of the Union Territory is heard at the national level,” Dr. Jitendra Singh said as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).

He praised the enthusiasm among BJP workers and expressed confidence that the party’s hard work and unity would yield positive results.

“I am deeply encouraged to see the energy and dedication of our workers. This reflects the growing faith of the people in the BJP’s vision and leadership,” he added.

News agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) reported that the BJP candidates were accompanied by 28 BJP MLAs, BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, and several senior party leaders, including Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, as they proceeded to the Secretariat to file their papers.

On Saturday, the BJP held a high-level meeting in Srinagar attended by all 28 MLAs and senior leaders to finalize the party’s strategy for the elections. (KINS)
