Srinagar, October 16, 2025 : The 18th UT Water Skiing Championship 2025-26, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Water Skiing Association, commenced today with great enthusiasm at the Water Ski & Wakeboard Point, near Eco Park, Shalimar Ghat, Fore Shore Road, Srinagar.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri (JKAS), Vice Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The championship witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 150 students from across the Union Territory, showcasing their skills and passion for water sports. The event was conducted smoothly under the able supervision of the association’s officials.

The General Secretary, Mr. Muzaffar Shah, and Senior Vice President, Mr. Jasim Muzaffar, were also present at the ceremony. The Public Relations & Media Incharge, Mr. Zaid Ul Hassan, expressed gratitude to all participants, guests, and the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council for their continued support in promoting water sports in the region.

The championship aims to encourage youth participation in adventure and water-based sports, highlighting the natural beauty and sporting potential of Jammu & Kashmir.
