Kashmir Parts Record Seasons First Seb Zero Temperature

Pahalgam, Shopian Shivers at -3.2°C, Srinagar at -0.1°C

Srinagar, Nov 10: The Kashmir Valley experienced a cold wave on Sunday with several areas recording sub-zero minimum temperatures. Srinagar registered a low of -0.1°C, while Pahalgam and Shopian were the coldest at -3.2°C.

As per news agency JKNS, according to weatherman, Other notable minimums included Kupwara at -1.2°C, Baramulla and Budgam at -2.8°C, and Pampore at -2.5°C. Srinagar Airport and Awantipora recorded -1.4°C and -1.2°C, respectively, while Gulmarg saw a low of -0.2°C. Kulgam, Bandipora, and Sonamarg also experienced chilly temperatures ranging between -1.2°C and -2.6°C.

In Jammu region, Jammu city recorded a minimum of 11.5°C, Katra 11°C, Kathua 11°C, and Jammu Airport 12.4°C. Banihal hit the freezing point at 0.0°C, Bhaderwah dropped to 2.2°C, Batote recorded 4.6°C, Udhampur 6.2°C, Rajouri 4.2°C, and Kishtwar 4.7°C.

The cold snap continues as locals are advised to take precautions, particularly in higher altitude and sub-zero areas of the valley. (JKNS)
