Aware Pharmacist, ensuring availability of medicines at affordable prices.

Anantnag: Drug controller Authority in collaboration with Price Monitoring and Resource Unit (PMRU) here in Anantnag today organised day-long workshop with pharmacist /stakeholders for price regulation in Anantnag.

The objective of the programme was to create general awareness about fixation of ceiling Prices under the slogan “Dawa wahi Daam Sahi”. ensuring affordability among the pharmacist, drug price control mechanism and monitoring, need & importance of establishment of PMRU across the the south kashmir including Anantnag and kulgam.

On the occassion, Commissioner FDA J&k Hashim Ali yauto was the chief guest and Madem Loutika Khajuria state drug controller UT was the guest of honour and oother dignitaries and officials of the department was also present in the occassion.

Several pharmacist from south kashmir attended the workshop and the concerned officials have awaread to the pharmacist/stakeholders regarding the Price Monitoring and resources unit (PMRU).

Speaking On the occassion, Commissioner FDA J&k Hashim Ali yauto have highlighted the importance of awareness to disseminate the information related to this initiative.

Hashim Ali have highlighted about the importance of organizing this workshop in the context of Drug Price mechanism. He said that the proposal for setting up of J&K, PMRU was made against the backdrop of the lack of field level link between National Pha-rmaceutical Pricing Auth-ority (NPPA), State Drug Controller’s (SDC’s) and subordinate enforcement authorities while monitoring drug prices.
