Death certificate of deceased shows that the deceased dies by Abdominal Aorta Injury occured during surgery at Shehjar private hospital Anantnag.

Anantnag: Family members of a patient from Damhal Khashipora area here in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district who died during intervening night on 11th and 12th March staged a peaceful protest on Wednesday infront of a private hospital namely Shehjar at Moominabad Anantnag and demanding an inquiry into the death of 60 year old women due to alleged medical negligence.

Haneefa Akhter wife of Mohd Jabar Khanday from Damhal Khashipora, died on intervening night at Skims Soura on 11th and 12th March, The patient was referred to srinagar Soura from the Shehjar private hospital during tuesday intervening night after the patient was undergone surgery by a doctor namely Malik Suhail Ahmad.

According to the family members of the deceased patient, the patient were admitted at Shehjar Private Hospital on Monday afternoon and during the intervening night of 12 March 2024, the patient was operated by a doctor namely Malik Suhail, During the surgery the condition of the patient had worsened and suddenly the medical team asked us for referal the patient to SKIMS soura. Said Aijaz Ahmad a family member.

However when reached at SKIMS Soura the patient were declared brought dead by doctors there, said Aijaz Ahmad.

Added that the deceased was diagnosed with tumor in kidney and was undergoing treatment from Dr Malik suhail. We were visited for the consultation of his private clinic in Anantnag where the Doctor Malik Suhail advised us for the emergency surgery to the patient in Shehjar private hospital, he said. The doctor is posted at GMC Anantnag.

However, Daily Uqab received a Death certificate of the deceased in which the cause of death were shown as CD arrest d/t hemorhogic shock due to abdominal aortic injury.

the family members wants from the administration to take action against the said doctor as well as the private hospital Shehjar and alleged that due to them, the patient has been died, they said

Meanwhile, officials sources told to Daily Uqab that Anantnag police has taken the congnizence of the incident and a committe of health officials has been made to investigate the matter.
