Salem, (Tamil Nadu) Mar 19 (UNI) Terming the DMK and its ally, the Congress as two sides of the same coin involved in corruption and dynastic politics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asserted that the BJP-led NDA will win more than 400 seats in this year’s Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a massive pubic meeting in this Kongu region forming part of the State’s Western belt, where the BJP has a good presence, Modi, who shared the dias with the leaders of alliance parties, including PMK Founder Dr.S.Ramadoss, with whom the BJP sealed the alliance pact earlier in the day allotting 10 seats to it, said both the DMK and the Congress are two sides of the same coin.

“If one side is corruption, then the other side is dynasty rule”, he said, coming down heavily on both the parties, forming part of the Opposition INDIA Bloc which was keen to unseat the BJP from power and thwart Modi’s bid to become Prime Minister for a third successive term.

Assuring that he would take stringent measures against corruption, the Prime Minister said the BJP will win more than 400 seats in this elections as the people are ready to vote for it as the next five years were pivotal for the country’s growth.

Noting that 5G technologies were developed after the Congress was sent home, he said the DMK, which was involved in the 2G scam, has found a new concept for 5G technologies.

“It’s nothing but their keen desire to have their fifth generation (5G) inducted to power”, Modi charged.

Averring that one day will not be enough to speak on corruption by the DMK and the Congress, Modi said the Centre was intended to give several lakh crores for Tamil Nadu’s development.

“But the State Government (the ruling DMK) is functioning with the sole objective to loot that money”, he said.
Touching upon the Shakti remark of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said the Congress and DMK in the INDIA Bloc has vowed to destroy Shakti and sanatana dharma.

Accusing the INDIA bloc of trying to destroy ‘Hindu Shakti’, the Prime Minister said their true face has been revealed as they never miss out on an opportunity to humiliate and insult the Hindu religion, but would never utter a word on other religions.

Modi reeled out various schemes introduced for the women welfare and for their empowerment and said women provided a shield to the BJP as they benefitted most in Tamil Nadu.

While promising that more welfare schemes for women would be rolled out as part of Modi’s guarantee, the Prime Minister also recalled as to how women were insulted by the DMK and the Congress.

He said they have shwon their true face by insulting former Chief Minister and AIADMK leader J.Jayalalithaa when she was alive. They also opposed the Women’s quota bill in Parliament.

Modi also alleged that crimes against women have increased in Tamil Nadu.

Claiming that the ruling party has lost its sleep on seeing the massive support for the BJP and the NDA alliance, Mr Modi said the people of TN have decided to vote for BJP and its allies in this elections and the NDA will win by more than 400 seats.

Among those, who shared dais with Mr Modi in a showof strength were, PMK President and former Union Minister Dr.Anbumani Ramadoss, Tamil Maanila Congress leader and former Shipping Minister G.K.Vasan, ousted AIADMK leader O.Panneerselvam, Actor R.Sarathkumar, who had merged his party AISMK with the BJP, and leaders of IJK and NJP, besides BJP State unit Chief K.Annamalai, Union Minister L.Murugan, BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan, and others.
