J&K people unanimously embrace call for positive change: Lone
Srinagar, Apr 14 : J&K Peoples Conference President Sajad Lone on Sunday said that people have unanimously embraced the call for positive change.
Addressing social and political activists from Budgam and Beerwah constituencies, Lone highlighted the party’s public-centric agenda, emphasizing its vision as instrumental in attracting a diverse array of individuals to its ranks.
“People have unanimously embraced the call for positive change, envisioning an era of development and prosperity”, he said and added “Their alignment with PC’s leadership underscores the resonance of our agenda and the populace’s fervent desire for better representation and a promising tomorrow,”.
Questioning the achievements of the National Conference MPs, who have been elected by the people for more than half a century, Lone criticized them for failing to meet the hopes of the people and remaining mute spectators to the issues concerning the people of J&K.
“There is a lot of pain, agony, and suffering among the people, and only those who understand it can truly speak up for them in the Parliament. Until now, MPs from Kashmir have consistently failed to uphold the public mandate, displaying blatant political ineptitude and willful improvidence,” he said.
He said that for a long time, the people of J&K have yearned for an authentic voice from within their midst to genuinely represent their aspirations in the corridors of power.
‚ÄúToday, they have entrusted our party leadership with this noble task, as evidenced by the numerous joinings and outpouring of love from the public at large,” the PC president said and added that”we are wholeheartedly committed to fulfilling this responsibility,”
