Over 1 lakh people will attend PM’s rally in Srinagar : BJP
Srinagar, March 2: A senior BJP leader on Saturday said more than one lakh people will attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally in Srinagar next week.
Senior BJP leader Altaf Thakur said the party has started preparations for the rally and expect that people will flood the Bakshi stadium- the venue for the Prime Minister’s rally on March 7.
BJP discussed the preparations and arrangements for the rally at a meeting in Srinagar.
“We are sure that over one lakh people will attend the rally,” Thakur told reporters in Srinagar.
He said the Prime Minister is likely to announce special packages and projects for Kashmir.
This will be Modi’s first visit to Kashmir after the J&K’s special status was scrapped in August 2019 and the erstwhile state was divided into two union territories.

Last week, Modi visited Jammu where he addressed a public rally, laid the foundation stone for multiple projects worth over Rs 32,000 crore in J&K and also launched the first electric train.
