Moscow, April 11: The Russian armed forces have launched a massive strike on Ukraine’s fuel and energy facilities in response to attempts by Kiev to damage the Russian oil and gas industry and energy facilities, the Russian Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.

“In response to the attempts of the Kiev regime to cause damage to the oil and gas industry and energy facilities of Russia, tonight the armed forces of Russia launched a massive strike with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, against the facilities of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine.
The goals of the strike were achieved. All objects were hit,” the ministry said in a statement.

The strike disrupted the work of military enterprises and the transfer of reserves to combat areas, the statement added.
