New Delhi, June 1: A day after the Congress decided to boycott the exit poll debates, the party on Saturday changed its stand and said that it will participate in the exit poll debates this evening so that it can expose the BJP and its ecosystem on the prefixed exit polls.

Addressing the media after the INDI alliance leaders meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence here, the Rajya Sabha MP said that the party decided to participate in the exit poll debates so as to bring down the truth put forth by the BJP and it partners in front of the people

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera on social media platform X said that the INDIA bloc decided by consensus at the meeting that all parties of the coalition will participate in television debates.

Pawan Khera said, “INDIA parties met and decided to expose the BJP and its ecosystem on the prefixed exit polls.”

“After considering the factors for and against participating in the exit polls, it has been decided by consensus that all the INDIA alliance parties will participate in the exit poll debates on television this evening,” Khera said.

It may be mentioned that Congress on Friday had said that it would not participate in any of the exit poll debates as it was not in favour of indulging in speculation and slugfest for TRP.
