BCCI President Meets J&K Lieutenant Governor in Jammu

Jammu, April 15: Mithun Manhas, President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha here today.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the promotion and development of cricket in Jammu and Kashmir, with a special focus on strengthening sports infrastructure and nurturing young talent across the Union Territory. The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the administration’s commitment to encouraging youth participation in sports and creating more opportunities at the grassroots level.

Mithun Manhas appreciated the efforts being made to enhance sporting facilities and expressed the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s willingness to extend support for further development of cricket in the region.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of collaboration between local authorities and national sports bodies to identify and groom promising players, ensuring they receive adequate exposure and training.

The interaction is seen as a positive step towards boosting the sports ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir and inspiring youth to pursue careers in cricket.
