Srinagar, April 22: Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Director of Accounts and Treasuries (A&T) Kashmir, today visited the Additional Treasury at Tankipora here to review its functioning and assess the effectiveness of service delivery mechanisms.

During the inspection, the Director emphasised the need for citizen-friendly and efficient systems, particularly in ensuring hassle-free disbursement of pensions through treasuries and banks. He examined facilities available to the public, including accessibility, seating arrangements, and overall service conditions.

Interacting with pensioners, Wani sought feedback on their experience and highlighted the importance of prompt and smooth service delivery. He also reviewed financial governance, IT interventions, level of computerisation, and staff attendance at the treasury.

Stressing transparency and discipline, the Director called for optimal use of technology to further strengthen public service delivery and improve efficiency in treasury operations.
