Urges people to build a drug-free future in J&K
Srinagar, May 2 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday called upon people to join a mega padyatra in Srinagar aimed at strengthening the fight against drug abuse and promoting a healthier society.
In a post on X, the Office of J&K LG, as per news agency JKNS, said that a powerful movement is emerging across the Union Territory to build a drug-free future.
“I’m witnessing a powerful movement across J&K to build a drug-free future. On May 3, a Mega Padyatra will take place at TRC Football Stadium, Srinagar.”
Sinha said that, “I urge all to join this march, stand together, and help create a safer, healthier Jammu and Kashmir for generations to come,” the post read.
The initiative is part of the broader campaign against drug abuse, with authorities encouraging public participation to make the movement more impactful and community-driven. (JKNS)
